Exposed brick is a popular option for an accent wall in a home to give it that rustic feel. A bright colored paint is another option many people choose when looking to bring interest into the design of their home. Think outside the box when choosing a material for the accent wall in your home. Wood planked walls are easier to install than you think. Don’t imagine the old wood paneling walls of the past, these are so much better. They can give your home a rustic, warm look and can be customized further with the paint or stain that you choose. Lighting can also change how your wood accent wall feels in the home. If you buy tongue and groove planking it is easy to install and can be done in a weekend, depending on how large the wall is. This affordable, do it yourself accent wall idea will bring a whole new feel to your home.
Well hello! How was your weekend? Ours was great – we celebrated my sis’s upcoming nuptials with a shower and then a bachelorette party. All in one day. This big sis needed a nap by 7 p.m. 😉
I’ve been working on a project over the past couple of weeks that involved a bunch of little projects and I finally got them all done this weekend. I LOVE IT.
Our basement stairway was kind of the pits after the basement finishing – the tools and drywall scuffed and dinged up the walls, the old carpet was just…well, GROSS. And I had been using the walls in on the stairs to “store” all of my extra frames that I’m saving for upcoming projects.
