Clutter makes us depressed. We can’t find things we need, we trip over everything when running out the door or you feel like your house is never clean because stuff is everywhere. Yet, when you make time to declutter you just can’t stand to part with anything. What is causing this battle within us? It could be a lack of decluttering system that stops you from getting the job done. Maybe the mess makes you feel comfortable. You curse it everyday, but it is what you are use to and you can’t imagine living without it. Nostalgia is a big culprit as well. You have 50 t-shirts you are never going to wear again, but they are from a concert or special event and you just can’t part with them. In order to efficiently declutter, you need to figure out how to get out of your own way. Start by determining what your personal issue is that stops you from decluttering your home and work through it. If you can’t do it on your own, there are professionals to help. You can also try organizing bins, to do apps on your phone, and taking small steps. These  can all help you on your way to getting out of your head and getting the clutter out of your life. Remember you aren’t alone. There are a number of resources out there to help and there is nothing wrong with asking for a little help.
