Dumpster Rental Charlotte

How Dumpster Prices are Quoted

Before you actually rent a dumpster, chances are you will call around to get quotes from a number of different dumpster companies that you can compare. This is what a smart consumer would do. If you are going to take the time to do this, you want to make sure you ask each company what is included in the quoted price. Companies can make changes to their terms and offering in order for their price to sound the best, when it may not be. As a result you end up with those dreaded hidden fees.

Before you pick up the phone, you should be educated on the general factors that a dumpster quote and rental is based on. This will make your phone conversation with each dumpster rental company go much smoother.

The first factor is probably the most obvious, it is the size of the dumpster. Most dumpsters range in size from a 10 yard dumpster that is perfect for a small scale project, up to a 30 yard dumpster which is normally used for large scale demolition or construction project. In between there you have a 15 yard and 20 yard dumpster. You need to make sure you are getting the right size dumpster for the size of your project as well as your budget.

A second factor is the amount of time you will need the dumpster. There is usually a set amount of time automatically included in the quoted price. Make sure you find out what that time period is, so that you can compare it against  each company. If you need the dumpster for longer then the given time, let the customer service agent know so that they may quote you the right price.

The third factor that plays a role in your dumpster quote is the type of debris that you will be filling the dumpster with. Are you knocking down a brick wall or just cleaning out your attic and throwing away household items?

The weight allowance that is included in your quote is the fourth factor that you need to consider. Make sure each dumpster company tells you how much weight you can put in the dumpster for the quoted price and what the fees are if you go over that weight.

When dumpster rental companies are creating their prices for customers two of the major factors that affect prices are the landfill  and recycling fees in the area as well as the cost of fuel and truck maintenance. Since these are both varying costs, every dumpster rental company will have it’s own set of prices. This is why comparison shopping becomes an important part of the dumpster rental process.

There is nothing like feeling good about finishing a project, only to find out that there were a bunch of hidden fees that you now have to pay. It is important to get all the information you need up front, so that you not only choose the right dumpster company, but also have a wonderful experience with them.
